Behold the Glory: An Experiential Journey into Ezekiel 1 & 2

A Storm from the North

The sky darkens. The wind shifts.

You look up, and there—on the horizon—a storm like no other begins to rise.

A great cloud, churning with fire, rolls toward you, consuming itself in endless flames. Flashes of lightning crack through the darkness, splitting the heavens with raw power. It is not a normal storm. It is alive. It pulses, moves, burns with an otherworldly force.

The brightness at its core is almost too much to bear—a glow like molten metal, radiating from within the fire. This is no mere tempest. This is the arrival of the glory of the Lord.

Creatures in the Fire

Your heart pounds. Suddenly, out of the fire, figures emerge—not men, not beasts, but something beyond comprehension.

Four living creatures.

Each one stands tall, their bodies like blazing bronze. Their presence is overwhelming, not of this world. You strain to see them more clearly, but the sight before you is unlike anything your mind can grasp.

Each creature has four faces.

  • The face of a man—wisdom, dominion.
  • The face of a lion—majesty, authority.
  • The face of an ox—strength, endurance.
  • The face of an eagle—speed, divine vision.

Their wings stretch upward, touching one another as they move in perfect unity. They do not turn as they go. They move straight ahead, driven by something unseen.

Beneath them, something else catches your eye—wheels.

Wheels Within Wheels

Not just wheels, but wheels within wheels, intersecting, moving in all directions without turning. They gleam like beryl, smooth, polished, reflecting the fire’s glow.

Then you see it.

The wheels are covered in eyes.

Everywhere you look—eyes staring back. Unblinking, all-seeing, endless. Watching. Perceiving. Nothing escapes their sight.

These are no ordinary chariots. They move with the creatures, lifting them, guiding them, not by their own power, but by the Spirit of God.

Where the Spirit goes, they go.

Where the Spirit moves, they follow.

The Expanse Above

Then, your eyes are drawn upward.

Above them stretches a vast expanse, like crystal, shining like ice. It separates them from something even greater.

Your breath catches in your throat.

High above—seated upon a throne of sapphire blue—is a figure.

The Appearance of the Almighty

You dare to look.

The One seated on the throne is not like any being you have ever imagined. He is wrapped in fire, His very form glowing like molten metal, pulsing with energy, with purity, with absolute power.

Encircling Him is a rainbow, brilliant, full of light. A reminder of His mercy, His covenant, His unbreakable faithfulness.

His radiance is overwhelming—a presence of consuming fire, yet also of unfathomable beauty.

You cannot stand.

You cannot speak.

You fall on your face.

The sheer weight of His holiness, His power, His majesty crushes you to the ground. This is no mere vision.

This is the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

The Voice of God

As you lie there, unable to move, a voice breaks through the fire, the thunder, the storm.

A voice so powerful it shakes the heavens.

A voice so pure it reverberates through your very soul.

“Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you.”

The Spirit Lifts You

You try to move, but your body is too weak. You cannot stand before this Presence.

Then—you feel it.

The Spirit enters you.

It lifts you, strengthens you, empowers you to rise. This is not by your strength. It is by His.

You stand, trembling. The voice continues.

The Call to Speak

“I am sending you.”

His words are clear, commanding, undeniable. You are being sent—to a rebellious people, a nation that has turned its back on Me.

They are stubborn. They will resist you.

They will not listen.

But you must speak My words, whether they hear or refuse to hear.

Do not fear them.

Do not be afraid of their faces, their anger, their rejection.

For I am with you.

The Scroll of the Word

Then, before you, a scroll appears.

It is unrolled before your eyes, covered with writing on both sides. The words burn into your mind—words of lamentation, mourning, and woe.

You do not just see it.

You are commanded to eat it.

“Son of man, eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel.”

You take it.

You place it in your mouth.

And as you chew, as you swallow, something unexpected happens.

It is sweet.

Sweeter than honey.

It fills you, nourishes you, becomes part of you.

This is the Word of the Lord—and now, it is within you.

The Mission Begins

The vision fades, but the weight of the moment does not.

You have seen the glory of God.

You have heard His voice.

You have been filled with His Spirit.

Now, you must go.

Whether they listen or not, whether they receive you or reject you—it does not matter.

You carry the message of the Almighty.

The mission is set. The time is now.

And heaven is watching.

What This Means for You

  • God’s throne is alive with power, fire, and worship. He is still the same today—holy, glorious, beyond understanding.
  • He sees everything. The wheels full of eyes remind us that nothing escapes His sight—He knows every thought, every action, every heart.
  • The Spirit empowers you. Just as Ezekiel could not stand without the Spirit, we cannot serve God in our own strength.
  • God’s Word must become part of us. Ezekiel had to eat the scroll before speaking it—we must internalize God’s truth before we proclaim it.
  • Fear no one but God. Ezekiel’s mission was dangerous, but God’s command was clear: speak boldly, without fear.

One day, we will all stand before this throne, this fire, this holiness.

But today, He is calling us—to listen, to rise, to speak.

Will you answer?

Breaking the Chains: Embracing Freedom and Authority in the New Covenant

Here are declarations based on the scriptures, focusing on breaking the power of old covenants of sin and affirming the freedom and authority believers have in Christ through the New Covenant: Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah… For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Declaration: “I declare that through the New Covenant in Christ, every old covenant of sin and iniquity is broken over my life. The Lord has forgiven my sins and remembers them no more. His law is written on my heart, and I walk in His truth and freedom.” Luke 22:20 “And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.’” Declaration: “By the blood of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am no longer bound by the law of sin and death. The blood of the New Covenant covers me, redeems me, and sets me free. The...

Scriptures Describing the Process of God

The idea that some individuals have a deeper understanding of God's ways and processes is illustrated in the verse which is from Psalm 103:7 : "He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel." This distinction highlights the difference between witnessing God's acts (His miracles and interventions) and understanding His character and the principles behind those acts. Here are several scriptures that emphasize understanding God's processes, ways, or principles: Isaiah 55:8-9 : "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Proverbs 3:5-6 : "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Romans 8:28 : "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love...
