A Prayer for the Deliverance of Children from Captivity

Righteous Father,
Redeemer of Israel, Mighty Deliverer,

You are the God who brings prisoners out of darkness
and those who sit in chains into light (Isaiah 42:7).
You are the One who says, “Let My people go.”

I come before You on behalf of the children—
sons and daughters who belong to You,
yet whose souls are being pursued, pressured, distracted, and taken captive
by the enemy through subtle and overt means.

Acknowledging the Battle

Your Word says that the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy,
but You came that they might have life and life abundantly (John 10:10).

You warned us that the god of this age blinds the minds of unbelievers
to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4).
But You also declared that light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness cannot overcome it
(John 1:5).

So today, I stand on Your truth.

Calling for Release from Captivity

Lord, You ask:
“Can the prey be taken from the mighty,
or the captives of the righteous be delivered?”

And You answer:
“Yes… I will contend with those who contend with you,
and I will save your children”
(Isaiah 49:24–25).

Therefore, in faith, I ask You to contend for the children.

Let every form of captivity be broken:

  • captivity of the mind

  • captivity of desire

  • captivity of identity

  • captivity through fear, pleasure, screens, substances, ideologies, and lies

Break every net, every snare, every hook the enemy has used.
For our soul has escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowler;
the snare is broken, and we have escaped
(Psalm 124:7).

Breaking Deception and Mental Strongholds

Father, Your Word declares that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself
against the knowledge of God,
and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
(2 Corinthians 10:3–5).

I ask You now:
Pull down deceptive narratives.
Expose lies disguised as truth.
Collapse mental fortresses built on confusion, rebellion, and counterfeit freedom.

Let truth invade their inner world.

Awakening and Return

Lord, awaken the captives.

As You did with the prodigal,
let them come to themselves
and remember the Father’s house,
where there is bread enough and to spare (Luke 15:17).

Call them back—not by fear, but by truth;
not by force, but by revelation;
not by shame, but by love.

Your Word says, “You shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free”
(John 8:32).

So let truth find them—in conversations, in quiet moments, in dreams,
in questions that won’t go away,
in hunger that the world cannot satisfy.

Restoration and Guarding

Father, restore what has been stolen:

  • innocence

  • clarity

  • purpose

  • spiritual sensitivity

You promise to restore the years the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25).
Do this for the children.

Place angels to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
Surround their minds with peace,
their hearts with truth,
and their paths with light.

Let them be delivered from the domain of darkness
and transferred into the kingdom of Your beloved Son
(Colossians 1:13).

Final Declaration

I declare that these children are not lost,
they are being pursued by the Shepherd.

They are not owned by the enemy,
they belong to the Lord.

They are not destined for captivity,
but for freedom, truth, and glory.

For whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

I seal this prayer in faith,
trusting not in my words,
but in Your power, Your promises, and Your mercy.

Amen.

Breaking the Chains: Embracing Freedom and Authority in the New Covenant

Here are declarations based on the scriptures, focusing on breaking the power of old covenants of sin and affirming the freedom and authority believers have in Christ through the New Covenant: Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah… For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Declaration: “I declare that through the New Covenant in Christ, every old covenant of sin and iniquity is broken over my life. Scriptures Describing the Process of God

The idea that some individuals have a deeper understanding of God's ways and processes is illustrated in the verse which is from Psalm 103:7 : "He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel." This distinction highlights the difference between witnessing God's acts (His miracles and interventions) and understanding His character and the principles behind those acts. Here are several scriptures that emphasize understanding God's processes, ways, or principles: Isaiah 55:8-9 : "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Proverbs 3:5-6 : "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Romans 8:28 : "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love...
