Day 5: I Choose Her Over Gold

Wisdom is worth more than wealth. I make her my treasure today.

1. Sacred Invitation (The Opening Posture)

Begin by turning your heart toward heaven. Speak or write these truths as a declaration:

  • Wisdom, today I choose you over riches.

  • You are more valuable to me than anything I can earn or accumulate.

  • I release my anxiety about money, success, and status.

  • I open my hands to receive what cannot be bought — your counsel, your insight, your peace.

  • You are my treasure and my portion. I choose you over gold.

2. Scripture Encounter

Proverbs 3:13–15

  • “Blessed are those who find wisdom,
    those who gain understanding,
for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.
    She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.”

Proverbs 8:10–11, 18–19

  • “Choose my instruction instead of silver,
    knowledge rather than choice gold,
for wisdom is more precious than rubies,
and nothing you desire can compare with her.

With me are riches and honor,
    enduring wealth and prosperity.
    My fruit is better than fine gold;
what I yield surpasses choice silver.”

3. Journaling Dialogue

Write to Wisdom as if she were a person in the room. Begin with one of these prompts:

  • Wisdom, I’ve often chased other treasures, but today…

  • You are more precious to me than…

  • I choose you over gold because…

Be honest about what competes for your attention or devotion.

4. Wisdom Speaks (Prophetic Response)

Receive these words as a response from Wisdom, drawn from the heart of Proverbs:

  • I see what you have laid down.

  • I am your reward — and I give you what gold never could: clarity, courage, and contentment.

  • When you walk with me, you walk in true wealth.

  • My treasure is not just for storing — it’s for living.

  • You have chosen rightly. You will lack no good thing.

  • Others seek riches; you have sought me — and I will walk with you always.

5. Embodied Action

Today’s Practice: Name what you treasure.

  • Write down the top 5 things you tend to value most in your daily life.

  • Circle anything that might be competing with your attention to Wisdom.

  • Then pray: “Wisdom, help me choose you above all today.”

  • Optional: Give something away today — time, money, or attention — as an act of reordering your priorities.

6. Closing Blessing

  • I choose Wisdom over wealth,

  • Insight over income,

  • Peace over possessions.

  • I walk with her, and I am truly rich.

Breaking the Chains: Embracing Freedom and Authority in the New Covenant

Here are declarations based on the scriptures, focusing on breaking the power of old covenants of sin and affirming the freedom and authority believers have in Christ through the New Covenant: Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah… For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Declaration: “I declare that through the New Covenant in Christ, every old covenant of sin and iniquity is broken over my life. The Lord has forgiven my sins and remembers them no more. His law is written on my heart, and I walk in His truth and freedom.” Luke 22:20 “And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.’” Declaration: “By the blood of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am no longer bound by the law of sin and death. The blood of the New Covenant covers me, redeems me, and sets me free. The...

Scriptures that outline the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of being part of God's family

Here’s a list of scriptures that outline the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of being part of God's family. These verses highlight the believer's identity in Christ, the spiritual inheritance, and the call to live according to God's will. Rights and Privileges Child of God : John 1:12 : "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." Inheritors of God’s Kingdom : Galatians 4:7 : "Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Access to God : Ephesians 2:18 : "For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father." New Creation : 2 Corinthians 5:17 : "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Manifesting God’s Glory: A Choice Between Power and Passivity

The Bible teaches that believers are the salt of the earth —a vital force meant to preserve, influence, and illuminate the world. Jesus warns in Matthew 5:13 : "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." This verse presents a sobering reality: believers have a choice to either remain effective and impactful or become ineffective and trampled upon . This principle is reinforced throughout Scripture, where we see those who boldly displayed God’s power and those who hid away in fear or compromise . Let’s explore examples of those who manifested God’s power versus those who remained passive , and the implications of both choices. 1. Elijah vs. The Hidden Prophets (1 Kings 18:1-39) Elijah: A Man of Power In the time of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, Elijah stood boldly for God. He was outnumbered, persecuted, and hunted , yet he displayed...
